This building is probably a luxurious private residence - perhaps also a small public palaestra (sports facility). The building, named after the main motifs of the floor mosaics, lies between the Nymphaeum and the House of Achilles, very close to the north-eastern edge of the hill, and was built in the second half of the 3rd century. In the 4th century the entire building was destroyed in the course of devastating earthquakes.
