A visit to the bison in Fredeburg is a special natural experience, especially when the herd has had offspring of little calves who are happily conquering their world.
Bison are the largest land mammals in Europe that almost went extinct many years ago! The district hunters give them a new home with the district forestry companies.
Take the time and draw strength from encountering these unique animals. It's worth it, especially a detour into the beautiful surroundings.
The enclosure is located right on the side of the path and there is no entry fee. You can simply walk past it in a relaxed manner and watch the impressive bison.
The large, free parking lot at the bison enclosure is also an ideal starting point for tours in the area.
