The picturesque ruin of the baroque-style small country house is right next to Strada Statale 18. From there you have a very nice view of the sea.
A crime occurred in the house on Maundy Thursday 1964. A young man who had just been released from a psychiatric clinic in Germany was on his way back to his home in Sicily. The 68-year-old owner of the villa, Donna Vittoria, was at home alone while her husband and son worked in the fields. The man asked for food and drink and she fed him water, olive bread and cheese. Shortly afterwards, the man hit her with a stick and hid her body under the dung heap at the house, where the returning men discovered him in the evening after a long search.
The insane killer was caught the next morning when one was waiting for the train in a nearby village.
