Tips
The Silvretta Glacier is the largest of its kind in the Silvretta Group. It is a good three kilometers long and about a kilometer wide. The entire area was included in the Swiss federal inventory of landscapes and natural monuments of national importance.

In 2023 there is an impressive glacier gate. If you stand directly in front of it, you get an impressive feeling about the mightiness of glaciers. With the strong retreat in recent years, a new landscape has emerged in the free glacier forefield with loose sand and rock formations. The water coming out of the glacier gate has a milky color (glacial milk) because of the high sediment content.
