The Chao Phraya River is the lifeline of central Thailand and runs through Bangkok as one of the country's most important transport and trade centers. With a length of around 372 kilometers, it rises from the confluence of the Ping and Nan rivers in Nakhon Sawan and finally flows into the Gulf of Thailand.
