Medels in the Rheinwald (German for girls; Romansh Medel (Valrain)) is a village in the Rheinwald region and was until December 31, 2005 a municipality in the former Rheinwald district in the Hinterrhein district in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.
The village belonged to Splügen from 2006 to 2018. Since January 1, 2019, it has belonged to the newly founded municipality of Rheinwald together with the neighboring towns of Nufenen, Hinterrhein and Splügen.
Medels lies between Splügen and Nufenen and was the smallest political community in the valley both in terms of area and in terms of population.
The village belonged to Splügen from 2006 to 2018. Since January 1, 2019, it has belonged to the newly founded municipality of Rheinwald together with the neighboring towns of Nufenen, Hinterrhein and Splügen.
Medels lies between Splügen and Nufenen and was the smallest political community in the valley both in terms of area and in terms of population.
