Hiking

The bronze fountain with water feature represents parts of the town's history. Glauchau was once a town of cloth makers and later a centre of the textile industry. The weaver sitting at the hand loom represents this. The market woman symbolises the market activity and trade in the town. The children playing are symbolic of life then and now. All figures are movable and invite you to try them out and especially children to play. The fountain was donated in 2001 by Glauchau's honorary citizen Hans Lorenz and created by Bonifatius Stirnberg from Aachen.
