Tips

The Dürrensee is great for swimming in the summer, because it has no natural runoff and is thus warmer than lakes at a similar altitude. On the north shore is a pebble beach. The turquoise blue waters can be easily circumnavigated on foot. Surrounded to the east by the Sexten Dolomites and to the west by the Fanes - Sennes - Prags Nature Park, the panorama is also unique. If you like it more challenging, start here a mountain hike to the surrounding peaks or romp in the climbing garden.

Surrounded by a fantastic mountain and summit scenario lies the Dürrensee in the inner Höhlensteintal. This cool wet is one of the three largest natural lakes in Alta Pusteria in South Tyrol and impresses not only by its spectacular colors, but also by its ideal location.
