St Clement's is a pretty Norman church in a leafy churchyard, close to the medieval town walls of Sandwich. A church was founded on this site in the late Saxon period. However, the building you see today is a 12th-century rebuild. You can observe many original features, including the tower and the nave. The chancel and north chapel date to the 13th century, while the south chapel dates to the 14th century.
