The Madonna degli Angeli church is a religious building that rises on the heights of Savona in a panoramic position near the fortress of the same name.
It was built by a Capuchin, Gio Ambrogio Pavese, in the late 16th century. The small church faces east and looks almost into the city. It is halfway up the hill and can only be reached on foot from the valley floor and a dirt road behind it. The building has a single nave with a low vault (almost flat) and a square presbytery. On the sides of the small altar, two doors on the back wall lead to the sacristy and the other to the bell tower. The church has no paintings or decorations and has a slate "ciappe" roof, very deteriorated by the rainwater filters inside. For these reasons, the building is not in a good state of preservation today.
