Tips
The refuge is strategically located at the end of the Cedec Valley at the foot of Gran Zebrù, Cevedale and Pizzo Tresero and is the starting point for numerous excursions, even challenging ones.
Destroyed during the Great War, it was rebuilt in 1926 and dedicated to the memory of Luigi E. Pizzini, a well-known Milanese mountaineer.
Subsequently enlarged and renovated in 1982 thanks to the legacy of Mrs. Mayr Frattola, it took on the new name of “Pizzini-Frattola” in memory of the Alpine General Carlo Frattola.translated by
