The old St. Remigius Church was located at this point. After it was demolished, the Kesselstatt burial chapel was built there between 1726 and 1729. Gravestones of the knights of Kröv were moved there from the church. From then on the chapel was owned by the Kesselstatt family. In 2013, the Count of Kesselstatt bequeathed this chapel to the local community of Kröv.

The former Kesselstatt burial chapel is a listed building located on Ehrenmalstraße in Kröv.

The building was erected in 1662 on a rectangular plan. The simple chapel has a light-colored plastered facade and a hipped roof covered with slate. The Renaissance portal, made of reddish stone with a broken pediment, displays the family coat of arms in the gable. A round trefoil window opens above the portal. The side arched windows are also framed with reddish stone.

The chapel served as the crypt and burial site for the Counts of Kesselstatt.
