The Oetzsch manor near Mügeln should not be confused with the Oetzsch manor near Leipzig (Raschwitz).
It is one of the oldest manors in Saxony, whose fiefdom goes back to 1310 as a manor and 1445 as a knight's seat. The most important owners included the von Saalhausen family (headquarters near Oschatz, provided the Saxon bishop).
