The parish church of Schwaz resembles a massive Gothic double cathedral: a high, four-aisled Gothic hall church with magnificent artistic furnishings recalls the importance and wealth of Schwaz, the silver town.
Formerly, the naves were separated by wooden partitions for the citizens and miners.

This church is one of the most important late Gothic church buildings in Tyrol and shows both Lower Bavarian and Swabian influences in its architecture. These influences are related to mining.

Very beautiful Gothic church. You can also visit the roof structure as part of a city tour. It consists of five floors. The roof itself consists of 15,000 hand-hammered copper plates - a monument to the city's copper wealth. Two large treadwheels from the church building are also preserved in the roof structure. It's worth a visit.
