Sound forest in the Schlater forest. One of several attractions for children.
May 20, 2020
The forest activity trail in the Schlater forest was worked with the help of forestry workers, associations, schools and numerous volunteers. Schlater forester Erich Staib describes the "barefoot path" as the "heart of the path". The 900 meter long barefoot path is halfway along the Burrenteich. The new 2.5 km long path begins east of the "Eiche" hiking car park at the crossroads towards Grünenberg. From here it forms a circular route through the forest with its various stations.
Along with many other attractions, the animal long jump, a wooden xylophone, a sound forest, the new rest area, a climbing net and a tree top swing await you on the route. "You can lie down and look at the tree tops and the sky from there," explains the forester. The "Waldaktivpfad" was officially inaugurated by the Schlater Mayor Gudrun Flogaus and the Sweet Mayor Marc Kersting.
Since then it has enjoyed great popularity - from hikers to school classes, whose trips often lead them to Schlat.
Visit the "Waldaktivpfad" in Schlat, with children, friends and acquaintances. You will not regret it.
