When you have just come off the Kering (Oosterscheldekering) you can often catch your breath here. a little further there is a large bump in the beach, this was the start of the cable car with which the concrete blocks were transported for the barrier. from here you have a beautiful view of the barrier and you can see a long way towards Renesse and the Brouwersdam.

Road cycling

Super nice path immediately left into the dunes after the Oosterschelde dam towards Haamstede. There along a climbing forest (delicious apple pie!) Narrow concrete winding hose up and down cycle path through wonderful Westerschouwen forest and dune to the center of Haamstede.
