The mill was built in the period 1992-1997 on the Bossenareheuvel, one of the highest points of the municipality of Maarkedal. It is located northeast of the original location of the Bossenaar mill that disappeared in 1949. The new wooden corn windmill was rebuilt with parts from the Tukmolen in Impe that was dismantled in 1980. These parts were bought in 1991 and reconstructed on a brick mill sty and fitted with a welded escape. The mill was made to grind with two pairs of stone.
