If you suddenly drive the route, it is definitely a wall that suddenly stands in front of you. The kick could get out of round and some might prefer a mountain translation. Very nice 😄 but you shouldn't have used up all the grains beforehand.

Absolutely the perfect calf tester, no cars, nice view of the crest on the final climb, alternating steep ramps 🔥 and still a bit underrepresented in Strava. If you are still looking for a few crisp HM climbs for pleasure, this is the place for you, and KOM hunters will find their challenge here 🙌

An incredibly beautiful piece of nature that awaits you here!

But be careful, the "Ramp from Affhöllerbach to Böllstein" is not only pretty to look at, it is also mighty steep, exhausting and challenging. My tip: you should definitely have climbed a few steeper ramps or skied in pain. 😄

With this ramp, which is almost 2 1/2 kilometers long, you overcome about 150 meters in altitude. It goes continuously uphill over narrow streets. The asphalt is pleasant to drive at the slow speeds. However, you should be careful going downhill and keep an eye on the potholes and cracks in the asphalt.

On the way up you have to overcome three to four steep ramps with gradients of up to 17%. With a 34/28 gear ratio, that really gets into the leg muscles. Once the steep passages are done, the sections with an average of 5-9% (almost) feel like a flat stage! 🏔

Nevertheless, the "Ramp from Affhöllerbach to Böllstein" is highly recommended. The piece of nature is worth a trip and the landscape is a real feast for the eyes, as my pictures prove. 😬👌🏻
