Stockmühlsee

Unfortunately, the number of Egyptian geese has also got the upper hand here and is displacing native waterfowl!

Nature reserve "Stockmühle reservoir"
The Stockmühlsee is located north of Lippach (municipality of Westhausen, Ostalbkreis) and forms the last link in a system of storage and retention basins in the upper Jagst valley.
The entire lake is approximately 27 hectares in size and is divided into a front and main pool by a dam. The main lake has an area of about 23 hectares.
The Stockmühle reservoir is particularly valuable as a resting and passage area for swimming birds.
On the open water surface, regular guests rest like
Mallard and coot also rarer species such as crested and pygmy diver, table, heron, spoon, krick and piston duck, water rail and more.
Ducks are most common.
