On this 1.6 mile roundtrip, you will find one of the largest concentrations of petrified wood in the park. Gray badlands form the base of this ancient stone forest.

There are many specimens of petrified wood along this trail, some of which measure over 100 feet long. You can also follow this trail to the Agate House ruins, a site of archeological importance.
