The landscape is very beautiful, well-developed and easy to cycle. On weekends, however, you usually have to share the route with many other cyclists and especially walkers. Still an absolutely worthwhile goal or intermediate goal.

At the end of 2020, work began to drain the lake. The Breitenauer See flood retention basin must undergo an in-depth safety review. To do this, it was imperative that all of the water be drained off so that all safety-relevant systems can be examined and repaired. The lake is now almost empty and offers interesting insights.
