The Osterbruch canal with a length of approx. 6 km was built more than 100 years ago to irrigate the so-called Osterbruch. Even today you can see numerous ditches that go from the canal into the district. When the reservoir association was dissolved, the main canal was preserved, but most of the ditches dried up.
