100 Years of the Stade Island Open-Air Museum
The open-air museum on the island in Stade is a historical ensemble of relocated half-timbered houses, a windmill, and a grand gateway, showcasing life in the Altes Land region. It is open year-round and free of charge. Located on the site of a former fortification, it is idyllically surrounded by water and ideal for families to experience culture and history. During the season (May-September), the Altes Land House and the restaurant are open, while the grounds themselves are always accessible.
