The 75-year-old Heinrich Maucher is not only a master builder and repairman, but also a devout believer. He lives all alone in Mariental near Maria Baumgärtle in the Unterallgäu. There he built a small settlement in the forest.

Heinrich Maucher has been living here in the forest for 32 years on around one hectare of land that he owns. Despite living alone, he is surprisingly a very sociable person. He has already assembled 46 wooden huts and the small settlement continues to grow. However, there is no electricity or running water there.
