The Kraftshofer fortified church of St. George was built as a Gothic church at the beginning of the fourteenth century and extended in the 15th century. The Wehrfriedhof was built at the beginning of the 16th century. The church served as the burial place of the influential Nuremberg patrician family Kreß von Kressenstein.
