The Siegenstein castle ruins lie on the edge of the village of the same name, which today belongs to the municipality of Wald in the district of Cham in Bavaria.

It is a trapezoidal hilltop complex from the 13th century, located on a 546-meter-high granite dome in the Falkensteiner Vorwald.

Remaining from the former castle are the remains of walls on the densely forested castle hill in the south and in the northeast corner of the castle, veneered with granite blocks, in some places also with hump blocks and quarry stone masonry. You can also see the former moat and the remains of a fortress wall, as well as the transition between the castle and the former bailey.

From the 14th century onwards, the Schönfeld district with a courtyard and the Romanesque church of St. Aegidius from the 12th century also belonged to the castle.
