Vulcano Observation Tower Steineberger Ley

The 28 meter high Vulcano information platform (wooden tower) on the Steineberger Ley offers a wonderful view over the volcanic landscape of the Eifel; when the weather is good, parts of the Hunsrück and Westerwald are visible.

The Vulcano viewing platform / Steineberger Ley is currently closed.

I suspect it has to do with the 110-year-old Douglas fir support that broke out. Unfortunately, there is no specific information on the Vulcano info platform homepage.

A great goal in theory. Unfortunately, the tower is closed because the main support post seems to be dilapidated. Speaks, unfortunately there is no prospect. It doesn't say how long the lock lasts or whether the tower will be opened again at all. Status: September 2021
