On the mountain spur stands an old church ruin, which also gave it its name. If you walk around the church, a unique view awaits you down into the Altmühltal.

The ruin behind the castle dates back to the 13th century. The former Spornburg towered on the church rock and today only a few remains of the wall are preserved.
Eggersberg Castle, which still exists today, houses a museum, a hotel and a restaurant. Here you can dine and spend the night in a historical ambience.

The Kirchfelsen in Obereggersberg is a highlight in the Lower Altmühltal. From one of the most beautiful vantage points in the region you have a wonderful view of the Urdonautal. The remains of Eggersberg Castle, built in the 13th century, are particularly fascinating. Today you can still see the keep, the Holy Cross Chapel and the neck ditch in the ruins.
