The Thiersteinberg-Homberg-Horn natural forest reserve is the largest contiguous reserve in Aargau, Switzerland. A walk through the Lothar storm area between Buschberg and Fazedelle is very impressive. The forest has not been cleared since the winter storm Lothar in 1999 and is now rejuvenating naturally. Fungi and lichens thrive on the fallen trunks. The reserve covers 165.61 hectares and is spread over several municipalities; it belongs to different owners.
