Just above the centre, on the left, as you go up, there is a challenging, phantasmagorical track that crosses the entire white mountain up to the Abbey of San Genesio with spectacular panoramic views of the Po Valley up to the Apennines. Indispensable!!!!! Even if challenging sections require pushing on foot on some tough sections but an unmissable pleasure!!! MTB boots and flat pedals recommended.

Count Mario Bagno bought the village of Consonno for 22.5 million lire in 1962 and left only the church and the rectory. An amusement park like that in Las Vegas was to be created. Characterized by international design and different times. Greek colonnade, Arabic passages, Chinese garden, dancing in the open air and a 30 meter high minaret.
The count's idea was good. In the late 60s / early 70s it was the meeting point for the rich and beautiful. Consonno was booming. The count had even bigger plans. Extensions of gigantic proportions. Unfortunately in 1976 a flood and subsequent landslide thwarted his plans. The access road was destroyed. The community and he could not agree who will pay for the damage. Consonno was slowly falling apart. A resuscitation attempt at the end of the 80s as an old age residence unfortunately failed. The rest of the devastation was caused by a rave in 2007. Graffiti, rage of destruction and the course of nature are not good for the city of entertainment. Source: haflokast.de 🤗

Once you reach the abandoned structure, you will be rewarded with an extraordinary view of the surrounding valleys and the Alpine arc that surrounds Monte di Brianza.
You can descend from an asphalted road, (a bit shabby) which can also be traveled by the BDCs, or opt for a very fun single trail that will lead you to Dozio, then follow the only asphalted road that will lead you back to the valley.
