The viaduct is still used today as a double-track route between Halle and Bebra.

As early as 1847, Vieselbach was connected to the Thuringian Railway from Halle and Leipzig to Erfurt, which promoted industrial development in Vieselbach. The natural stone railway viaduct built at that time, reinforced in 1934, is still used today (Wikipedia).
