The building dates from the late 16th century and was renovated in early 2000. The mill's activity is now limited to demonstration activities, in which one of the three millstones is activated if necessary. The oil mill and the areas in the inner courtyard of the mill were converted into multifunctional rooms for events and exhibition conferences. Today the rural complex also houses the offices of the Parco delle Gole della Breggia, with a reception center for guided tours and a classroom. The same building complex now houses the Casa del Vino and the restaurant, which promotes Ticino wine and products.
