Hiking

Stöckigt was a farming settlement from the 18th century and belonged to the village of Grobau. Before the war, Stöckigt had about 25 inhabitants. With the division of Germany, the location became important for border security. One reason for this was the 593 m high cone stone below which the place was located. The border station Gutenfürst and the apron can be seen clearly from the survey. As a result, all residents of the village were expelled by 1959.
