This splendid and classic ascent to the Vezzena pass was built by the Austrian Alpine troops in 1915. Today it is paved and closed to heavy traffic. Very narrow in some points, with splendid views over the lakes of Caldonazzo, Levico, Alpe Cimbra and Valsugana. Quite challenging climb but really worth it.

The Kaiserjägerstraße is a ten kilometer long mountain road in the Italian province of Trentino and leads from Valsugana to the Lavarone plateau. The interesting street layout, view and history make Kaiserjägerstraße touristically important; Otherwise, however, it is only of local significance for traffic. Due to the cramped conditions on the mountain slope, Kaiserjägerstraße is closed to larger vehicles and the maximum speed is limited to 30 km / h. In the Denzel scale, the road has a technical difficulty level of 3.

On this road I have looked at my fear of heights from eye to eye. Who finally won, I can not say yet :-)
I drove down the street, which did not make things easier. But one thing I can say. It's a dream, this area and also this street .... :-)

So here's another way! I've decided to do it all at once and I can proudly say that I did it! Incredibly hard climb, which leads through an incredible scenery. You often forget how finished you are, haha! Here you can prove your stamina!

The view is dizzying, a true spectacle from which you can dominate the whole of Alpe Cimbra and the area of Levico and Caldonazzo.
Given the exciting and dangerous central stretch, which has narrow tunnels, escarpments on both sides and breathtaking slopes, it is a real boon for professional cyclists but not recommended for lazy people and those suffering from vertigo ...

Danger. The road is currently closed today on May 10th until an unknown time due to landslides and slope stabilization work. The ascent is only possible up to the tunnels, shortly after that it is blocked
