The family Shinozuka, originally from Fukozu in the province of Mikawa (now Aichi Prefecture). They followed Lord Matsudaira Tadafusa when he moved in 1669 from Fukuchiyama in the province of Tamba. The family serves the Lords until the early years of the Meiji era. They worked as employees and local administrators.
