This building was constructed from 1880-88. There is also a stud that was later attached, which developed into the largest equestrian tourism center in the former GDR.
There are holiday apartments in the castle today, and the registry office also has rooms here.

Alt Sammit is mentioned for the first time in 1274. At that time there was already a castle of the von Weltzien family, which was destroyed in 1638 during the Thirty Years' War.

Around 1670, the von Weltzien family had a new manor house built with the associated stables and servants' houses, which fell into disrepair until the end of the 19th century. The feudal rule of Weltziens ended in 1793 and the owners changed frequently until 1945.

The manor house was built in its current form from 1880 to 1888. It is a large, red building two storeys high, which was built over a basement made of field stones. There is a mezzanine floor under the tile gable roof. The house is thirteen axes wide and has a three-axis central projection on the west side, a two-axis central projection and four three-axis side projection on the east side.

After the Second World War, the mansion initially offered refugees a place to stay, in 1970 the Ganschow State-owned Gestüt moved into the house and operated a training and recreation home there until 1990. After five years of vacancy and neglect, the manor house became private property in 1996 and has been lovingly restored.

You can enjoy your vacation in the holiday apartments since May 2007, and a conference center has also been built.
