The Berdum mill dates from the 1820s. The last miller, Friedrich Krull, died in 1966; six years later the mill was finally shut down. Since the 1990s, the Berdum Mill Association has been looking after the maintenance of the mill, which can now be viewed as a memorial. (Source: information board at the mill)
