At 722 feet (220 m) above sea level, Holyhead Mountain is the highest summit in the county of Anglesey. The Welsh name, Mynydd Tŵr, means ‘tower’ and you are certainly afforded breathtaking views which stretch as far as Ireland on a clear day.

This is a great little hill to do. If you can get to do it on a sky blue weather day then all the better (ours wasn't). Beautiful surroundings and views to be had on a fine day but even on a typical Welsh weather day it was still a great outing! It is also listed as a UK Marilyn. From the summit there are great views of Anglesey, Holyhead and Snowdonia. Do it on a clear day.
