Worthwhile visit to the lava cave below Ponta Delgada. Price per person 5,00 €. The guide is in English and Portuguese. It is very well told about the origin and interesting facts about the cave. Duration approx. 30 minutes. There is a longer tour of about 3 hours but only with reservation to 4 people.

Very inconspicuous from the outside, but actually a must in Punta Delgada. Visit only possible with a guide. Advance booking is recommended.
The short tour (level of difficulty: easy) is aimed at the general public, and involves walking around 200 meters into the cave. (30-45 minutes): 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The long tour (level of difficulty: medium) is aimed at people interested in spearology, and involves walking 1000 meters into the cave. (2-3 hours): by appointment and depending on the availability of the guides
