From the Wettinhöhe you can see the Dresden Elbe valley over Pirna and Heidenau. Surely the view used to be wider before the trees had grown so tall.

Hikers can reach the viewing platform via several routes: via the Hohe Straße and the Dr.-Friedrichs-Höhe hiking trail or through the Viehleite you can reach your destination from the valley side. But you can also walk from the Sonnenstein. On the B 172 in the direction of Königstein, before the national park sign, there is a dirt road on the right in the direction of Viehleite, where there is now a new green sign pointing to the Wettinhöhe. It's about a 100 meter walk to the destination.
