Shepherd's Hut Gerzkopf

The rustic and idyllic shepherd's hut lies east of the Gerzkopf summit and, for me, is a true highlight of this region. During our vacation in June 2009, we passed by here quite by chance on our way to the Gerzkopf summit and were very pleasantly impressed by the hospitality. It was a rainy day, and we were completely alone up here. We received a very friendly welcome and chatted animatedly about everything under the sun over a hot tea in the small hut, far away from any civilization. It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget. Definitely take a break there, for us there was a wonderful ice-cold shandy. The nice shepherdess is there every day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
