Mountain biking
A large creche cut off by the construction of the Nidau-Büren Canal has become still water and communicates with the river at the lower, eastern end. Since 1928, the upper part of this old water with the floodplains is under protection. An excellent place for bird watching.

What many do not know, here was a detention center. It was the largest internment camp in Switzerland during the Second World War. It is thus a historic city, if we like it.
In June 1940, some 43,000 members of the 45th French Army Corps - including some 12,000 Poles from two Polish divisions - crossed the Doubs near Goumois, were granted asylum by a decision of the Bundesrat and interned. Some of these troops were interned in this camp at Häfti.
