Following the example of medieval monastery gardens, the plants are arranged along a cross-shaped path in four "quarters".
In the front part of the garden there are symbolic plants and plants from the Bible, while the back beds are dedicated to monastic medicine.
In the immediate vicinity is Käthe's cottage garden, a green oasis based on the medieval model. Herbs with magical effects grow here - the so-called magic and oracle plants such as verbena or daisies.
