Hiking
In front of the fortress and close to the shore of Lake Vättern stands an old propeller plane.
It is a Douglas DC-3, manufactured in 1943 by the Douglas Aircraft Company
in Santa Monica, California. The DC-3 originally belonged to the US Air Force
and participated in D-Day (June 6, 1944) in Normandy.
It was later used by the SAS before being taken over by the Swedish Air Force.
