The double-curved suspension bridge over Gahlensche Straße, officially named "Erzbahnschwinge" since May 2004, marks the beginning of the Erzbahn route on the northwestern plateau of Westpark. The 130-meter-long bridge, designed for cyclists and pedestrians, crosses the confusing situation of road, railway tracks and pipe bridge. The bridge consists of a cable-braced steel structure and is S-shaped.

Centennial Hall and West Park as the entrance to the ore railway line. And then it starts with the ore railway swing arm, there you have the right swing, e.g. for the approx. 10 km to the Zoom Erlebniswelt (zoo). Halfway there is a little stall to refresh yourself and chat with the other hikers and cyclists. And if you don't feel like animals, just turn off in the direction of industrial culture to the Zeche Zollverein.
