Here you can see the observation deck from which you can look down the highest steep coast of Europe. It is made of glass. Really impressive.

At 580 metres high, Cabo Girão is the highest cape in Europe, but that is not the only reason why it has become increasingly famous around the world. The viewpoint, with its famous suspended glass platform - known as the Skywalk - is currently one of the most visited (and certainly most photographed) tourist attractions in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos and the Madeira archipelago.
From here you can see the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal: an urban environment integrated into a natural amphitheatre facing south, surrounded by green mountains. In the background you can also see the cultivated land of Rancho and Cabo Girão, where the small areas of cultivation at the foot of the cliff stand out.
This large rocky coast is also an excellent place for paragliding and BASE jumping (it was even chosen by the Portuguese skydiver Mário Pardo for his famous motorcycle jump). Near Cabo Girão is also one of the most important pilgrimage sites on the island: the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, built in 1951.

You can walk down by following the lavadas.
