One of the most important historic buildings in Niederweiler is the 250-year-old Klemmbach mill, where gypsum has been ground with hydropower since 1760. The listed property is now a wine tavern with a coffee terrace right by the stream. The Klemmbach has a length of 20.1 km, making it one of the more significant streams in the southwestern Black Forest. Its course is today in the districts Badenweilers Schweighof and Oberweiler, in the city of Müllheim with its suburb Niederweiler and in the city Neuchâtel as in the course of the two Runzen largely taken and straightened.
