Various routes and trails pass here, e.g. also to the Forsthaus, which offers good gastronomy.
The farmstead is probably a former castle or a manor house of the Lords of Wagenbach. The counts of Yrsch have also been mentioned in some writings.
However, there are hardly any traces of the fortified system to be found or seen. They were probably built over by the courtyard buildings all around. However, these are all privately owned and a visit to them is probably not possible.
