The Château de Chambord was built in 1519 at the request of François 1er. It is the largest and best known of the Loire Valley castles. Designed by several architects including Leonardo da Vinci, the castle has remained intact since its construction. Nowadays, the castle can be visited all year round. You can admire the interior, the roof and also the park, a good part of which is accessible by bike.
