Old pompous family grave. It is unclear who was buried here.

The small village of Jarnatów in the Lubuskie Voivodeship... Polish cosiness, the April wind drives rain showers and wisps of sunshine across the empty village street in quick succession. Away, grown into the undergrowth, we discover columns, a dome... a small Greek temple? No, a mausoleum has housed the last remains of a great man for over 100 years. At that time the village was called Arensdorf, was a manor in the Neumark and was acquired by Henry Theodor von Böttinger in 1909. The entrepreneur (director of today's Bayer AG), politicians, people interested in science and world travelers modernized the estate from the ground up, the manor house was rebuilt, a modern farm was created, a railway connection was built...
Today, the coat of arms above the entrance to the crypt is the only indication of its owner. Sometimes a ray of sunshine falls through the skylights, gently caressing the completely destroyed coffins... Fame and honor. Nothing stays.

The Henry Theodor von Böttinger Mausoleum was built around 1920 near the Protestant cemetery. The crypt is decorated with the von Böttinger family coat of arms. In 1920, von Henry was buried in the crypt, and in 1925, his wife Adele. After the war, the mausoleum was plundered.
